“The Department continually strives in its commitment to the prevention of crime, the identification and apprehension of those who violate the rights of others, the preservation of peace within the community, and a safe environment for its citizens. The primary endeavor of SBPD is to provide the most efficient and effective use of available resources, in order to afford its residents the most desirable of municipal police services – and this Facebook page helps us in that effort. The purpose of this site is to provide useful information to the community and to serve as an outlet for safety and protection. We encourage dialogue with our page followers and welcome you to submit questions, comments, and concerns. We will do our best to address questions and/or concerns. In the event that a question is out of our scope, we will ask you to contact us via email or phone and connect you with an alternative representative, if possible.

To ensure a positive experience for all audiences, the SBPD Chief of Police Darren Goodman or Chiefs Designee reserve the right to add, remove and edit any and all content on this page. The department does not allow submissions that contain vulgar language, negative or personal attacks of any kind, or offensive comments that target or disparage any ethnic, racial, or religious group. We reserve the right at any time to remove any information or materials that are unlawful, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, pornographic, profane, indecent or otherwise objectionable to the Department, and to disclose any information necessary to satisfy the law, regulation, or government request. We may permanently block any user who abuses these conditions.

Further, the San Bernardino Police Department also reserves the right to delete comments that are: (i) spam or include links to other sites; (ii) clearly off topic; (iii) advocate illegal activity; (iv) promote particular services, products, or political organizations; or (v) infringe on copyrights or trademarks.
