Hello and welcome! Thank you for your interest in becoming
a volunteer at our shelter. Volunteers are a wonderful resource for our animals
and the community. There are a variety of different
volunteer positions that ALL help towards making an IMPACT in the lives of our
shelter pets. 🐶🐱🐷🐇🐥🐾
How Do I Become a Volunteer?
The process is simple! 😊
There are 3 easy steps needed to start
volunteering with us!
Step #1 Submit an application. Once it is submitted, you can attend an orientation! No
need to call in or reserve. CLICK HERE FOR VOLUNTEER APPLICATION
Step #2 Attend an
orientation! You can come on in and join
us! We currently host orientations about twice a month on Saturday
mornings. They are approximately an hour long. We will be going over our
shelter's mission, and our Volunteer Program. Afterwards, we will tour the
shelter! Please wear comfortable closed toe shoes. Also, please wait by
the bench near the front office. The orientation will be held in the office
trailer behind the chain-linked gate. We
will be hosting two orientations in October. Please check back for updates.
Step #3 Complete a background check. After orientation, we can schedule you for an appointment! Once you have been cleared, we will notify you that you can
start volunteering! 😀🎉
REQUIREMENTS FOR VOLUNTEERING
- You must be at least 14 years of age or older.
- You must have a valid government photo ID driver's license, state ID, passport
- You must care about the welfare of animals.
- You must not have any serious criminal history.
- You must be willing to perform various tasks, which includes
cleaning of animal kennels.
- Understand the importance of teamwork!
