San Bernardino Entrepreneurs Shine
at Awards Ceremony

Four local businesses and their leaders earn five awards
honoring San Bernardino and Riverside County entrepreneurs


Entrepreneurship Is alive and well in San Bernardino!

San Bernardino businesses and their leaders won in four of the seven categories as well as the coveted “Best of the Best” award at the 22nd Annual Spirit of the Entrepreneur Awards, recognizing the best entrepreneurs from across Riverside and San Bernardino Counties at a ceremony held November 19 at the Riverside Convention Center.

The winners were selected from 300 nominees and 34 finalists.

Anita's Mexican Foods not only won for Best Manufacturing Entrepreneur but was awarded the "Best of the Best" Award as the grand champion among the award winners. The third-generation family business manufactures a full line of tortilla chips, taco shells, and other snacks under co-pack and private label brands.

Aviation training company World Wide Wings and its founder, Naushad Imam Mohammed, were awarded Best General Entrepreneur. Located at the San Bernardino International Airport, World Wide Wings’ state of the art flight school also houses a cutting edge avionics repair shop.

Local nonprofit Children's Fund and its President/CEO Cesar Navarrete were awarded Best Social Entrepreneur. Children’s fund has provided over 90,000 services to vulnerable children experiencing poverty, abuse, and neglect.

Tomorrow's Talent and its founder Dr. Dale Marsden were awarded Best Service Based Entrepreneur. Tomorrow’s Talent bridges the gap between education and employment, helping schools prepare youth for internships, apprenticeships, and jobs.

Now in its 22nd year, the Spirit of the Entrepreneur is presented by the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at California State University, San Bernardino.
