City Partners with SCE for
Free Christmas Light Exchange

Residents can exchange their old incandescent holiday lights for
energy efficient LED ones now through December 15 while supplies last.

The City of San Bernardino has partnered with Southern California Edison (SCE) to offer residents a free exchange of incandescent holiday lights for new energy efficient LED lights. SCE customers living in San Bernardino County are eligible to participate.

Residents can bring up to two lights strands of fifty bulbs or longer to the City of San Bernardino Public Works front counter, located on the second floor at 201 North E Street to exchange the bulbs. Free parking is available on the top floor of the Big 5 parking structure. The counter is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and Fridays from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Residents must also bring a copy of a recent electric bill and driver’s license or photo identification that matches the name on the bill.

The exchange will run through December 15 or while supplies last.

If you have any questions or want to verify that lights are still in stock, please call the City of San Bernardino Public Works Department at (909) 384-5019.
